C., thus it corresponds approximately to the Neolithic Age. In the very past, the human could not control the nature, and produce formulas in order to continue its life. The first agricultural applications started with the trials on the wild plants and animals, and the humanity started to manage them in line with its needs, amenaging them in time. In the beginning, this domestication process was unconscious, it was being maintained only due to the needs and necessities. While the humanity continued its evolution process in compliance with the nature, all inventions regarding the soil and animal husbandry, brought the transition to settled life first, and then urbanization along with it.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The agricultural process, which has started with hunting and foraging, now proceeds arm-in-arm with advanced technology and science. The agricultural sector, which have assorted with the data in conjuncture in each period, and found place to itself in the field, proceeded by changing in time, but not losing its importance ever, and has proven that it is one of the directors of this film. The agricultural activities, which have been commenced as unplanned and only to meet the needs, set new targets to itself today by being carried out in a planned manner. The primitive agriculture gave way to the subsistence agriculture, specialized agriculture, and today finally to the modern agriculture respectively in time.   <\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Agriculture, which has a great effect on the development and living styles of the societies, started to be a sector, of which its importance is understood more clearly, with the increase of competition environment along with the globalization. Turkey has a very big role in this arena due to its geopolitical location. Agriculture, which is at the top of our economic development list, is the reason of the people to be able to continue their lives. Agriculture is one of the most important sectors, which affects not only the economic development, but also the social development, both in world and in our country.   <\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Agricultural Issues in Turkey<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.poelsan.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/Resim1-1-640x489.jpg\"><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Agriculture continues to trail the issues of the period on one side, while being developed and modernized. The societies, which have dealt with the agricultural issues of that period, within the time period they live in, continue to not to leave no stone unturned for the responses of the questions they are researching tirelessly. Of course, Turkey also tries to find solutions to some issued it encounters in agricultural sector. Well, what are these issues?   <\/p>\n<ol style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li><strong>Irrigation Issue in the Field<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">One the greatest agricultural issues faced in our country is the irrigation issue. Agricultural production can be carried out depending on the weather conditions, as arid and semi-arid climate prevails throughout the country. While the total amount of the lands, which have to be irrigated, is 8.5 million hectares, those, which can be irrigated, is 4 million hectares in average. Due to the drought, every year lands above 4 million hectares are left fallow necessarily.   <\/p>\n<ol style=\"text-align: justify;\" start=\"2\">\n<li><strong>Failing to Use the Lands Correctly<\/strong><br \/>\nThere is an area, period, and technique which have to be used in each land. However, the lands, which must not be processed, have been allowed to use, and the productive lands, which accelerate the erosion as a result of wrong land usage, have been dragged into the seas via the rivers, or agglomerated on other lands, due to the implementation of wrong strategies in our country. <\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Another problem, which we face in relation with not using the agricultural lands according to their capabilities, is the use of 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grade productive soils with purposes other than aimed. The productive lands of the farmers, who tries to carry out farming on lands which they shall achieve less yield, leaving their lands having high agricultural values, are being victims of industrialization and urbanization.   <\/p>\n<ol style=\"text-align: justify;\" start=\"3\">\n<li><strong>Financing Issues<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Agricultural sector struggles with great financing issues in our country. The structural defects in agriculture, insufficient development of production technique, relatively low productivity, and similar issues increase the financing issues further. In this sense, the greatest issue is that the sector cannot be credited sufficiently. Another problem is indirect or direct subventions. The agricultural sector is not financed with direct and indirect subventions in Turkey, as in other countries. In addition, the fact that the capital structure of the agricultural enterprises are disarranged, is also one of the financing issues of the agricultural sector.     <\/p>\n<ol style=\"text-align: justify;\" start=\"4\">\n<li><strong>Productivity and Production Issues<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The production, which is carried out in accordance with the soil and weather conditions, prevents the quality remain at the top of the bar always. All variables affect the quality and productivity of the production at maximum level. Further, factors such as failing to use the correct medication, failing to cultivate and irrigate the land with the correct technology, play a big role in the productivity and production issues.  <\/p>\n<ol style=\"text-align: justify;\" start=\"5\">\n<li><strong>Lack of Training in Agriculture<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The fact that providing insufficient training to the farmers, makes the transition from conventional agriculture to the modern agriculture difficult. Although advantages are being taken from technology in many fields excessively, the desired level in the use of modern agricultural Technologies could not be reached yet. Failing to follow the current developments in relation with the agriculture, has also affected the quality in agriculture.  <\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.poelsan.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/Resim2-1-640x360.jpg\"><\/p>\n<ol style=\"text-align: justify;\" start=\"6\">\n<li><strong>Decrease in the Dimensions of the Lands<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The lands are being divided into many small parts due to the inheritance law in our country. Agricultural productivity also decreases depending on the downsizing of the enterprises on the sectional lands. Downsizing enterprises have difficulties to bear the fixed production costs, and after a while they have to cease their agricultural activities.  <\/p>\n<ol style=\"text-align: justify;\" start=\"7\">\n<li><strong>Lack of Production Planning <\/strong><br \/>\nOne of the greatest agricultural issues in our country, which we compare with the developed countries, is failing to make the production planning correctly. The crops, which have been produced in excess by the farmer, as a consequence of the unplanned production, are not sold, and it causes the farmer to make loss. <\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ol style=\"text-align: justify;\" start=\"8\">\n<li><strong>Farmers\u2019 Inability to be Organized <\/strong><br \/>\nIn this, inability of the farmers to be organized properly has been also a factor. The farmers, who cannot be able to market their crops due to being unorganized, have to sell their crops to the mediators at a loss. The mediators may also aggrieve both the producers and the consumers, selling them to the consumers with high prices.  <\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong> <\/strong><\/p>\n<ol style=\"text-align: justify;\" start=\"9\">\n<li><strong>The Materials Used in Agriculture are Expensive<\/strong><br \/>\nThere is an unconstrainable price increase in many of the materials used in agriculture day by day. The excessive price increase in the main production items such as fertilizers, pesticides, seeds, agricultural machines, and diesel fuel, has negative effects on the producers. <\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ol style=\"text-align: justify;\" start=\"10\">\n<li><strong>Lack of Specialization in Agriculture<\/strong><br \/>\nThe vast majority of the agricultural enterprises in our country carries out also the animal production along with it.
