The increasing population over time has caused the societies to migrate away from the regions where water is, and the necessity of moving natural resources to the regions where people are located has arised.  <\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">People who carry water to their regions through channels, aqueducts and tunnels have developed transport systems with the advancing technology and pressurised piping systems have been activated. Thus, overcosting and time-consuming techniques have been abandoned, the length of the transfer lines has been shortened, water saving has been achieved, and the danger of contamination has been greatly reduced. <\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Different materials were used during the water transfer through the pipes to the regions. Steel pipes used after the second half of the 19th century gave way to the polyethylene pipes in time due to the high level of workmanship.  <\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Polyethylene that was coincidentally discovered in 1933, has become an indispensable part of life in the developing world.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>What is polyethylene?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Polyethylene, known as PE in the plastic industry; is an engineering plastic that is extremely durable, resistant to chemicals, and used in a wide variety of products. Polyethylene is produced by the polymerization of ethylene. Polyethylene plastic may be low density and high density. Polyethylene plastic may be moulded, Polyethylene plastic can be molded, extruded, and casted into various shapes.   <\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Polyethylene, whose market is constantly expanding; It has become an essential material to power transmission, food packaging, consumer goods, electronics, household goods, industrial storage, transportation industries.Developments in technology continues to improve its functionality making polyethylene the most efficient use of natural resources petroleum and natural gas. <\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Properties of Polyethylene<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">It has a high impact resistance and does not have brittleness. Polyethylene, which starts to have fragile properties as a result of deterioration in its structure when exposed to sunlight, has good durability under static loads. It has a paraffin-like profile with many features.  <\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In general, polyethylene, which starts to melt after 120-130 \u00b0 C, is preferred due to its characteristic reasons such as not being corroded like metals, and having a ductile structure. In addition, polyethylene is a good electrical insulator. <\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Polyethylene is produced in three main forms;<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li><strong>Low Density Polyethylene (LDPE) (<0.930 g cm -3):<\/strong> The density of LDPE ranges from 0.91 to 0.93 g \/ cm3. Due to the extremely long branching in the polymer chains, it is amorphous, flexible, very resistant to rupture and unaffected by chemicals. Its maximum usable temperature is 80 \u00b0 C and its melting temperature is 120 \u00b0 C. LDPE, a flexible and non-wrinkle plastic, is one of the most demanding polymers. It is economical; bottle, suitcases, frozen food packs, toys, etc. It is used to obtain many plastic products.       <\/li>\n<li><strong>Linear Low Density Polyethylene (LLDPE) (0.915-0.940 g cm -3):<\/strong> LLDPE obtained by the copolymerization process of ethylene has a higher tensile strength and hardness than low density PE. In addition, its durability and hardness is lower than high density PE. LLDPE, whose branching amount is more than high density PE and less than low density PE, is in the middle of both in terms of mechanical and chemical resistance. It is transparent when produced in low thicknesses and is used in stretch film production.   <\/li>\n<li><strong>High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) (0.940-0.965 g cm -3):<\/strong> The density of HDPE ranges from 0.94 to 0.97 g \/ cm3, the molecular morphology is different from LDPE; the branching on long carbon chains is negligible, so it is a crystalline (or semi-crystalline) polymer. Although it has high resistance to water and chemical substances, it cannot be resistant to light and outdoor conditions like LDPE. However, this resistance may be increased with special fillings.    <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Minimizing the Water loss and Water leakage depends on the correct production and the selection of the suitable product. While acceptable rate of 10% in this regard, unfortunately, 35% in Turkey ( TUIK) and even 50%. In the measure program taken by the Ministry of Forestry and Water, the Water losses and Water leakages will be improved by improving existing networks and using environmentally friendly and healthy materials.  <\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">According to the regulation on the control of Water losses in drinking Water supply and distribution systems, municipalities are required to reduce the loss \/ leakage rate to 25%.The places where Water loss is intense are cracking and breaking of fittings and pipes, overflow and leakages in service depots and connection lines <\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong> <\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Polyethylene pipe, which has a life of at least fifty years, is easy to transport and has a high resistance to chemicals.Low cost and high performance polyethylene pipes are resistant to earthquakes with their flexibility, have high wear resistance, friction and rustproof properties.Water taste, smell, etc. It has become the most preferred system in Water transfer since it does not affect.   <\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The rapidly decreasing natural resources have once again demonstrated the importance of the criteria in carrying clean water. Because one third of the transported resources are lost in the environment due to leaks in the transportation systems before reaching the consumer. These leaks also cause pollution of clean water.  <\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">People who cut one\u2019s own throat , has sometimes deliberately or unknowingly damaged nature and its resources. However, our water resources should be seen as our lifeblood. We must be able to manage the ecosystem with sustainable development goals and learn to protect without polluting and losing.  <\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Because;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u2018\u2019 We\u2019re at war with nature.
